Everything Alice Strange uses to make work is in her life … it’s a matter of what she comes across, what she looks at and what she pays attention to: art, science, music, literature, politics, the earth, the sea, the sky, people, memories...  

She processes the input by making stuff, using whatever medium is on hand – relief printing, screen printing, collage (analogue & digital), cyanotype, paint, textile & assemblage. 

Visit the artist’s studio in Cheviot’s old post office to view work, sketchbooks and work in progress.  Work and cards for sale. 

Open Saturdays 10am-4pm … unless the hills or the sea or the bright lights of Christchurch call.  Email or text to be sure the studio is open.
