    The Kaikoura Coastal Track is a breathtakingly beautiful two day walk. Discover a coast with abundant marine life, tussock covered tops and farmland. Tramp through bush filled gullies to views of the Seaward Kaikoura Mountains rising out of the vast Pacific Ocean.

    This exclusive coastal walk is an ideal  chance to get away for a couple of days. For two nights you’ll enjoy comfortable upper-end backpacker accommodation provided by conservation minded farming families with a huge knowledge in the local area.

    Let us carry your pack - Luggage transport is free  allowing you to carry a light day pack.
    Food & catering available - Breakfasts, cut lunches and dinners available by arrangement.
    Hiker’s accommodation - Warm, clean cottages with hot bath/showers and fully equipped kitchens.
    Uncrowded tramping - Only 10 people on the track per day, you’ll have it to yourself.
    Easy access & secure parking - Easy access by either bus or car, begin and end at the same location.

    Walk with your companions, enjoying wonderful scenery, fresh air and exercise. At the end of the day relax with a hot shower, soft bed and fresh pillow. 
    Walkers find it very easy to access the track as it begins and ends at Ngaroma on Conway Flat just 8 minutes off SH1, 40km south of Kaikoura.

    You don’t need to be super-fit, the 13km of track per day is easily achieved and there is time to take plenty of rests and photos. Each day has a lunch hut with gas and all you need to make a hot drink.

    The track includes areas of ancient matai, kahikatea and totara protected by QE2 covenants and the owners have received awards for their conservation projects.
