Mike King has for years been known as the iconic Kiwi entertainer but that role has changed dramatically since the conception of his hugely popular radio show 'The Nutters Club'.
The show evolved from Mike’s own experience of mental illness and addiction and has become a huge success. The aim of the show is to ‘forever change the way people feel, think, talk and behave in relation to mental health’

First Aid Course

First Aid Course

Details  Cheviot St John are running a Level 1 / Refresher First Aid Course on Wednesday, 21st June. A Pastoral Symphony

Details  An afternoon of beautiful music in a beautiful church starting at 2.30pm. The Knox Singers from Christchurch will present A Pastoral Symphony with selections from Handel's Messiah and Vivaldi's Gloria, with some popular anthems. Funding Forum

Details  The Funding Forum is being facilitated by the Rta Foundation, Sport Canterbury, Department of Internal Affairs Lottery Grants, and Hurunui District Council staff.  If you have an idea for supporting your community in the earthquake recovery and need funds, then this is where you can find out how your organisation can access funds to benefit your community.

Details  Cheviot Glenmark v Lincoln, 2.45pm at Cheviot Rugby Grounds 

The colts also play at Cheviot, their game is v Lincoln at 1pm.

All the cafes in Cheviot will have specials on for visitors to our town, from The Paddock's 'Rugby Hotpot' through to the seafood chowder at Two Rivers.

Lions Club Pub Quiz

Details  The Cheviot Lions Club is holding a General Knowledge quiz this Friday, 26 May at 7:30 pm.  It is for teams of four, with an entry fee of $40 per team. Teams need to register prior to the start of the quiz and the proceeds of the night will go to the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Chopper Appeal.Date  May 26, 2017Price  $40.00

Beef & Lamb NZ have a Farm Safety Management System workshop coming up in Cheviot. If you haven’t yet had a chance to attend a workshop this is your opportunity to do so.


The workshop is free for you to attend and you will leave the workshop with your plan almost complete.
